Overview:

You can elect to choose any of the following eCQMs to satisfy the MIPS Quality Performance Category. You must report on 6 measures. One of the 6 measures must be an Outcome/Intermediate Outcome Measure.

If an Outcome measure is not applicable to your specialty, you will have to select another High Priority measure which is defined as: Appropriate Use; Patient Experience; Patient Safety; Efficiency; or Care Coordination. The eCQMs will be reported through EHR reporting which can earn you 1 bonus point for each measure submitted.

Reporting Period:

Your reporting period can be anytime from a minimum of 90 continuous days up to a full calendar year.

Scoring

Each measure will be scored on a scale from 3 -10 points if the measure has an existing benchmark; you have met the minimum case volume of 20 cases; and at least 50% of data completeness was satisfied. If a benchmark does not exist for a measure and you fail to meet the thresholds set for case volume and data completeness you will only earn 3 points on that measure. The eCQMs will factor in all patients, regardless of payer, who meet the denominator description but you must have at least one Medicare beneficiary within the reported population. The Quality performance category will make up 60% of the ECs composite score. There are some MIPS ECs that will have their ACI category reweighted to 0 and their Quality performance score will count for 85% of their composite score.
