05/03/2012: Highmark/Novitas Solutions Medicare (DCMCR_P5, DEMCR_P5, MDMCR_P5, NJMCR_P5, PAMCR_P5) Billers – do you bill for Chiropractors? Are you getting an error code 50 (not medically necessary) and error code M1 (xray not taken within past 12 months or near enough to start treatment) on your EOB? 01/23/2012: Highmark Medicare (DCMCR_P5, DEMCR_P5, MDMCR_P5, NJMCR_P5, PAMCR_P5) Billers – do you bill using the Place of Service 12 for Home? If you do, you need an updated billing program to have the patient information show correctly as the facility. Just a reminder – all charges where the Place of Service is 12-Home you must make sure that the Patient’s zipcode contains the +4 zip code.
01/09/2012: Highmark Medicare Billers Reminder -The initial password when connecting to Highmark Medicare’s new modem phone number to send ANSI 5010 electronic claims is Hms#(then you must enter the last 4 digits of your PRJ Number in capital letters). Example: Hms#1J34.
