Highmark Senior Health Claims
Effective January 1, 2015, Medicare Advantage Plans moved to a new subsidiary called Highmark Senior Health Company. Providers who submit these claims can no longer submit these claims under 54771 and their PABS_P5. They must submit their claims via Emdeon.
To prepare for this, please do the following:
Create a new insurance code for Freedom Blue.
1. Go to Administration\Transaction Tables\Insurance
2. Enter a new in-house code for Freedom Blue. Category = CI. Billing Type = NEIC. Payer ID=95462. After filling in the rest of the information, click save.
Attach the new insurance code to the patient.
1. Go to the Patient screen. Enter an Expiration date of 12/31/2014 for their current Freedom Blue code.
2. Attach the new Freedom Blue code to the patient and enter an Activation Date of 01/01/2015. Click Save.
*** If you are a Provider Complete Client, you MUST call Emdeon’s help desk to enroll – 877 819 3267. You will need to tell them that you want to enroll in 95462 Highmark Senior Health Company for claims and/or ERA.
Complete the “MedicareAdvantagePlans Claims ERAPSF1” Form .
1. Download the form HERE (Note: Download the form to your local computer first before completing the fields)
2. The fields that need to be completed are: Practice/Facility Name, Tax ID, Billing NPI ID and Provider Email. **A form must be filled out for each provider if billing by provider.**
3. Send the completed form to Jen Alfonse using ONE of the following methods:

C. Upload the completed form below and press Submit
