For those of you who signed up for Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) two years ago when the feature was first released, your token will most likely need to be renewed in the next couple weeks or months.  When that time comes you will receive an email from IdenTrust notifying you that your IdenTrust Global Common (IGC) Basic Hardware Unaffiliated certificate will expire shortly. The option to renew will not be available after the certificate expires. Should that occur, a new certificate application would need to be submitted.

To begin the renewal process please follow these simple steps:
1. Plug in the hardware your certificate is installed on
2. Open Internet Explorer and go to www.IdenTrust.com/login
3. Choose your certificate and click “OK”
* You may be asked to enter your token password
4. Click on the “Renew Now” button at the top of screen
5. Complete the process by following the on-screen instructions

Upon submission of the online renewal application, IdenTrust will review its content. If you have not changed any information on your account, the application can be approved and your activation letter with instructions will be delivered to your mailing address. Otherwise, their Registration Department will notify you by email within 48 business hours if additional documentation is required to process your renewal request.

If you have questions about the renewal of your certificate, please visit IdenTrust’s FAQ page. If you need additional assistance, please contact IdenTrust Customer Support by email or by calling toll free (888) 339-8904, Monday through Friday 6a.m. to 6p.m. Mountain Time.
