Electronic Claim Submission Change for Delaware Medical Assistance
If your office submits Delaware Medical Assistance Program claims electronically, it is very important that you read and follow the instructions outlined in this letter. Offices submitting electronic claims must be transitioned to the new URL by July 31, 2014.
Effective January 24, 2014, new URLs to access the WEB BBS were activated. Although the old URLs will be backward compatible until July 31, 2014 it is recommended providers switch as soon as possible to avoid future issues with claims submission.
The changes outlined below must be completed on any workstation, terminal server or server where Delaware Medicaid Electronic billing is done for Practice Manager to work with the new URL:
Communication Setup
1. Click Add-Ins > Insurance Billing > Communication Setup.
2. In the Billing Forms Communications dialog, highlight the DEMCD_P5 entry and click the Edit button.
3. In the Extra Command Parameters field, change the entry to https://b2b.svcs.hp.com.
4. When finished, click the Add to List button.
5. Click the Save All button to save the entry and to exit the Billing Forms Communications dialog.
Run Module for Delaware Medical Assistance (Reports)
1. Click Add-Ins > Run > Configure.
2. Under the External Applications, highlight Delaware Medical Assistance.
3. In the Command Line field, depending on the website browser you are using, change the entry as follows: for Internet Explorer change to C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe https://b2b.svcs.hp.com; for Mozilla Firefox change to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe https://b2b.svcs.hp.com.
4. Click the Update button.
5. When finished, click the OK button.
