The ePA Process Has Been Streamlined

We have been working hard to improve the Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) workflow over the last several months.  In ChartMaker® Medical Suite 2016 version 6.1.5, we implemented a new eligibility request to occur upon chart open automatically, if the old one had different demographic data than currently exists in the chart. In version 6.1.7, we added an override feature for medications that require ePA, removed the ePA requirement for pre-existing medications and cleaned up the To Do List notification logic to decrease the amount of messages. Surescripts has also made changes to payer formulary files after receiving feedback from PBMs and payers as usage increases.  If you would like to enroll for ePA, visit our website.
