Standard Glaucoma Codes Claims Denied

Do you see glaucoma patients? Starting October 1, 2016, your standard glaucoma codes may be denied if you haven’t upgraded to our newest 6.1.7 version. For example, you may experience rejection codes such as “Message: – ACK/REJECT INVAL INFO – Diagnosis code. – H51081 ICD10 Code ‘H4011X3’ not valid for date provided“.
The most recent codes for glaucoma no longer have the X so be sure to select from these newly published options, specifying not only what stage but also left vs. right vs. bilateral. To expedite the upgrade process, use the newest option for downloading versions on your server by clicking “Help” on the top tool bar of Practice Manager and selecting “ChartMaker Medical Suite Update”.
