Modifying Multiple Charges is Easy
Did you know you can fix multiple charge items at once if you forgot to change the facility or provider, or even if the patient’s insurance changed? To do so, navigate to the Charge tab in Practice Manager. Then, in the Review Charges sub-tab, highlight the charges you want to edit (using the Shift or Ctrl key) and click the “Edit” button at the bottom.
In this wizard, click the checkbox for “Update Insurance on Charges“, select which insurance you want to bill and then change the Status to “B” (Bill Current Insurance). Then make any corrections to the fields below, such as Provider, Facility, etc. Click “OK” when you are finished making changes.
This will modify all charges in which you first highlighted and will set them to be billed again. Voila!
