Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) of Medications Now Available

ChartMaker® Medical Suite 2016 now has the ability to submit prior authorization requests for medications electronically. This is extraordinary news as only a handful of EMRs are currently offering this functionality.

Electronic Prior Authorization, or ePA, is the process of sending an authorization request for a medication that was flagged as requiring approval to the Pharmacy Benefit Manager, or PBM, via the computer. Implementing ePA in your practice will save valuable time, additional expenses and unnecessary frustration.
