The Face Sheet provides an easily accessible summary list of problems/diagnosis,
medications, allergies, miscellaneous notes, patient history notes, surgical
history notes, patient annotations, recalls, as well as any test, lab,
and image procedures orders for the patient. By clicking on the * on the left side of the face sheet,
you can get more information on that particular item, and for some sections
of the face sheet modify and print information. You can also add and modify
additional information for regarding the patient in the form of patient
memos
by clicking the Memo button. Click a section of the picture below to get
more information about that particular section.
How information is displayed is determined by how the Facesheet Preference is configured for the user. If the Personal option is selected the facesheet layout will be fully configurable for that user, allowing them to add and modify how the information appears on the facesheet. When the Global option is selected, the facesheet layout will be based upon the Global Facesheet and will not be configurable by the user.
Whenever information populates a section of the face sheet you have
the ability to display or hide that information. To the right of each
section heading a + or – will appear. If you click the – (minus) the information
for that section will be hidden; if you click the + (plus) the information
for that section will be displayed. Whenever a patient chart is opened,
if the global preference is active for the user, the sections will be
expanded or collapsed based on the global facesheet settings; while if
the personal preference is active for the user, the system will recall
which sections are displayed and which are hidden in facesheet based on
the last user-defined setting.
When the personal preference is active for the user, in addition to
the default sections that come with the system, you are allowed to create
and maintain new sections via the Facesheet
Preference
area.
When the global preference is active for the user, those users with the Facesheet privilege, are allowed to create and maintain new sections via the Facesheet Preference area.
