Configure Prescribing Privilege

The Prescribing privilege allows the selected user the ability to prescribe medications. There are three levels of privilege for Prescribing: None (cannot prescribe medications), Proxy (user can prescribe for a registered Prescriber, however, a proxy cannot utilize E-Prescriptions), and Prescriber (can prescribe medications). Use the following steps to configure the Prescribing privilege for a user.

1. Click Edit > System Tables > Users.
    

2. In the Users dialog, double-click the User you want to configure the Prescribing privilege for.
    

3. Click the Privileges tab.
    

4. Highlight the Prescribing privilege, and then click the None, Proxy, or Prescriber radio button.
    

5. When finished, click the OK button.
