New Paper Billing – is yours printing correctly?

Print out your hcfa – check the paper. Three items to notice:
1. If an X is printing in box #8, you are still on the old format (and claims after April 1st WILL NOT be paid even if on the new paper itself) – please follow instructions to convert to the new format. 2. Look at your diagnosis codes – new format prints codes as all one number (no period, no spaces)
3. Diagnosis pointers – the new format uses letters while the old format used numbers
****To run the hcfa conversion: On our website, click INSURANCE NEWS category, scroll down for “Are You Ready? CMS1500 Form New Version 02/12” and follow those instructions. **** Remember this new format and new paper must be used APRIL 1st, 2014 and forward.
