Do you dread updating multiple family member’s information when a patient moves?  Then start using the “Family Links” button to save yourself time and frustration.  Family Links allows you to connect family members to each other for instances likes this where address information is shared and needs to be updated for all members.  Mom, Dad and three kids? No problem!  Change the information on only one family member and the rest sync.  Voila!  It’s like magic!

To link family members:

1.  In Practice Manager, open one of the family member’s account

2. Click “Family Links” from the Other section located on the right

3. Click “Add” and search for the applicable family member

4. Highlight the family member and click “OK”

5. Repeat steps 3-4 for each subsequent family member

6. Click “Save” from the Family Links dialog

7. Click “Save” on the patient’s account

 

Bonus:  You can see the family member’s next appointment in the Family Links dialog!
