Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Electronic Claim Submission Changes
Effective July 1, 2016, Noridian Healthcare Solutions becomes the DME MAC for Jurisdiction A. Please visit their website at https://med.noridianmedicare.com/web/jadme for the latest transition information.
This change will affect offices who submit electronic claims for durable medical equipment.
Change Healthcare (Emdeon) Submitters
If you submit your DME claims via Change Healthcare (Emdeon), no changes to your system are necessary. Change Healthcare will make the changes on their end. Continue to use payer ID SMDEA.
Direct Submitters
If you submit your DME claims directly, you will need to make the following changes to your Practice Manager system. You can make this adjustment starting July 1, 2016.
Insurance Payer ID
1. Go to Administration > Transaction Tables > Insurance.
2. Bring up the DME Insurance.
3. Change the Payor ID # from 16003 to 16013.
4. Click the Save button.
Receiver ID
1. Go to Add-Ins > Insurance Billing > Electronic Submitter.
2. Highlight the DME Billing Form and click the Edit button.
3. Change the Receiver ID # from 16003 to 16013.
4. Click the Add To List and Save All buttons.
