Use the following steps to set up a profile in Paperport.
Double-click the Paperport
icon.
In the PaperPort dialog, click the Desktop
tab, and then click Scan Settings
in the toolbar.
In the Scan or Get Photo section, click the New button.
In the Profile Name of the Create New Profile
dialog, enter your Profile Name,
and then click the Continue button.
In the Settings - Scanning Profile dialog, click
the SET tab.
Each option in the SET tab slows the scanning
process a little. Having the program automatically check each page for
straightness and orientation, and then enhance it takes time. You sacrifice
speed for looks, so for now, leave them unchecked.
Click the Output
tab.
In the Enter name or select format field, enter
Your Initials. This will appear
as on all items that you scan.
In the Prefix field, select the Date.
In the Suffix field, select nnn.
This puts in a number at the end of each scan starting with 001.
In the File Type field, select JPG
(*.jpg). This will scan in all files as jpgs under this profile.
Click the Scan
tab. The Scan tab will display instructions and recommendations for configuring
the various settings such as color and resolution. We
recommend using black and white, a Resolution of
150
DPI or lower, and a Source of Auto
ADF, when selecting this the scanner driver dialog box.
When finished, click the OK
button. Your profile will now appear in the Select
a profile list in the Scan or get photo section.
