View a Lab Report in a Chart Note

When all of the pertinent information is included in the lab report, the report will appear in the appropriate physician's To-Do List as well as in the To-Do list of the user that has been assigned the Lab Notification privilege. Use the following steps to view a lab report in a chart note.

1. In the To-Do List, double-click the lab result reminder.
    

2. This opens patient’s chart and displays the lab result. The top area of the lab report displays the patient demographics. The bottom displays the lab results. Because the lab report is embedded into the chart note,  you can page through the patient’s chart and open labs just like any other note. Depending on the length of the lab, a vertical scroll bar will be present allowing you to view the entire lab.
    

3. You can now annotate the lab report, sign the lab report, or transfer the lab report to another user.
