 Q: Can my provider meet Meaningful Use requirements using your software?

A: Yes, STI’s ChartMaker Medical Suite software is an ATCB-certified EHR system that will allow you to achieve Meaningful Use.

Q: Can we e-prescribe using your software?

A: Yes, ChartMaker Clinical is certified by Surescripts to electronically submit prescriptions to pharmacies. You will have the complete list of pharmacies that participate with Surescripts to select from and can save a list of your favorites as a practice and per patient.

Q: Can I access my charts outside of my main office?

A: Yes, as long as your network is set up to allow this functionality; you will be able to access ChartMaker Medical Suite from a remote office, the hospital, at home, etc.!

Q: Does STI offer hardware, network, and managed services?

A: STI has a large and knowledgeable technical department. We provide equipment and services at very competitive prices. Our staff knows that equipment is easily researched and attained so we keep markups to a minimum. This makes it easy for you, the customer to only have to make one phone call for all your IT needs. This also assures that your experience with the ChartMaker Medical Suite is smooth sailing.

We also offer Hardware/Network/Operating System Maintenance agreements. These agreements assure your practice of timely and no-cost services when you do experience a problem. It also includes free consultation services when your practice needs other services like assistance with move planning, telco, and wiring services.

Q: Can STI convert patient demographic information from my current software system?

A: Yes. Data conversion is available for any customers purchasing a new Practice Management system.

Q: Does STI offer training?

A: Yes, we offer both private web-based and on-site training for new and existing clients. We also have free monthly group web-based courses for clients with full software support contracts through our STI University program and videos on our STI Customer’s section of the website.

Q: Can I set the schedule for our staff’s training and implementation?

A: Yes, we will work with your office’s schedule and limitations to offer the best implementation possible. However, our trainers have many years of experience getting offices up and running with practice management and electronic charting successfully, so we do recommend following to our suggested plan.

Q: Does STI have Clinical templates for my specialty?

A: Yes, we have standard templates per specialty including Allergy & Asthma, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Mental Health, Neurology, OBGYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Pediatrics, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Podiatry, Surgery and Urology. During training, templates are customized as your provider needs are reviewed.

Q: Do I have options other than using a template to document office visit details?

A: Yes, beyond using a template and “clicking” in information, you can also free-text type or use voice recognition software, where applicable.

Q: Will I have the ability to receive electronic lab results?

A: Yes, as long as you have the required volume set by the vendor we can configure you to receive your lab results electronically. The lab will appear on the ordering provider’s To Do List, already associated to the patient. The provider then has the option to sign off on the lab, comment or forward to another user.

If you do not see a vendor or hospital listed, please contact our Support or Sales departments as we are always implementing new interfaces.

Q: If I enter a patient in Practice Manager, do I have to re-enter them in Clinical?

A: No, both Practice Manager and Clinical use the same patient database so as soon as you enter their demographic information into Practice Manager, they already have a “chart” in Clinical.

Q: Can I use the same login for both Practice Manager and Clinical?

A: Yes. Since it is a shared database, you will have the same user login and password for both Practice Manager and Clinical.

Q: What version of the software do I need in order to attest for Meaningful Use?

A: Your practice needs to be on version 3.8.1 or higher.

Q: What is STI’s ONC Certification Number?

A: Our ONC Certification # is CC-1112-865040-1. Practices can use this number to look up our software when registering for Meaningful Use, however remember that each practice needs to receive their own number as well.
